YES WE CANNES
48 HOUR FILM PROJECT
DONATION DECK #TEAMFOOTLIGHTS
We Won!
Footlight Studios won Best Film, Best Directing, Best Acting, and the Audience Award at the 48 Hour Film Project - Inland Empire Edition. Our film "The Spaces Between" will now go on to compete in Filmapalooza 2023 against winners of other 48HFP from around the world - which puts us in the running to go to Festival de Cannes 2023!

So What's Next?
The Yes We Cannes Global Film Challenge is a special competition for the very Best Filmmakers of the 48 Hour Film Project 2022. Footlight Studios and other select teams will be challenged to make a new film in 48 hours — showing off their skills against all of the top teams from around the world — and the best films will be presented at Filmapalooza. But, that’s not all. The very Best Films will screen at a Special Screening at the Cannes Film Festival Short Film Corner at Festival de Cannes 2023.
This all goes down from December 2-4 AND to better all odds, we've teamed up with Rhino Street Productions - the IE 48 Hour Film Project's Runner Up & Best Writing winners! Together, we are fighting for our place as Yes We Cannes' Best Film of 2022, which will secure our place at Festival de Cannes 2023!
But we could used YOUR help!

What Can I Do To Help?
The Corporate sponsors below only help the 48 Hour Film Project run as a whole. It is through their generosity that the 48HFP is able to continue to provide its unique filmmaking experience around the world.
As part of that incredible experience, we get to make a short film in 48 Hours from concept to delivery, which includes financing the film. And while the majority of that is financed by our team, donations alleviate some of the financial burden that creating a film - even a short film - can bring.
Donations are often used to feed cast & crew, allocate towards location costs, and even allow us to rent equipment, or license music for the film.
How Much Do You Need?
If you choose to donate, the donation amount is entirely up to you! We appreciate any help we get and it is always used towards the project.
None of the competition participants are allowed to be compensated, so we're all filmmaking volunteers. The cast & crew decided to take part in the 48HFP, and Yes We Cannes, simply because of our love and passion for filmmaking. That's why donations like yours help so much!
Adversely, if you'd like to donate what your company specializes in (i.e. food for craft services during filming, equipment rentals for filming, etc.) that is beyond more than welcome!
Will I or My Company Receive Anything?
Absolutely! We would love to include you or your company in the closing credits of our 48FHP/YWC Short Film which will be seen on a global level, as well as social media shout outs, and behind the scenes footage. You can share and let the world know that you support female and indie filmmakers and helped us and our team complete globally!
The 48 Hour Film Project is a wild and sleepless weekend in which a team makes a movie in just 48 hours.

FOOTLIGHTS IN THE PRESS

"Vanessa [Silva] is breaking new ground and pushing boundaries with her filmmaking. It takes a unique person who has the resolve and courage to be able to do that. A person with vision who can look past the standard tropes and clichés of our craft. Perhaps someone who was writing screenplays as a child when the other kids were playing in sandboxes. Vanessa is that person. She is pushing herself and the industry with a fervor that will not be outmatched."

"In the Spotlight: Vanessa Silva"
"I’d love to see [the industry] grow into something where we no longer have to worry about fighting for equal opportunities and it just is – all the while continuing to make something great with passion at the forefront. And, at the end of the day, I just want to be a part of that.”
